793rd MPs, Det K 62nd HP Commended on Men, Unit

 

WURZBURG [PA]----Maj. Gen. Edwin P. Parker, Provost Marshal General of the Army, inspected the various units of the Provost Marshal's Section ofWurzburg Post Monday. He was accompanied, by Brig. Gen. W. H. Maglin, Provost Marshal General of USAREUR and Lt. Col. W. C. Campbell, Chief of the Military Police Corps' Personnel Section in Washington. Brig. Gen. Mason J. Young, Wurzburg Post CG, welcomed the visitors to the post.

 

After their meeting with the commanding general, the Provost Marshal chiefs inspected the WMSP Provost Marshal and Military Police Booking Station and Highway Patrol Detachment in the HICOG building in downtown Wurzburg. Also included in that visit was the 14th CID.  Maj. R. C. Henderson, WMP Provost Marshal, conducted the generals on their tour.

 

Visit 793rd First

 

Their first visit in the afternoon was Co. C, 793 MP Bn. where the generals inspected the buildings and quarters.  They also attended a class concerning the various phases of MP duties which was in session at the time.  Capt. M. D. Hoskins, 793rd CO, was commended on the high standards of the company and splendid set-up.

 

Also congratulated in a later inspection was Lt. R. J. Bruckner, CO of Det. K, 62nd Highway Patrol.  He was commended on the fine appearance of his men and the excellent condition of their vehicles.  Upon completion of their visit Gens. Parker and Maglin stated that they were greatly pleased with the Provost Marshal Section of the post.
